The Power of The Sun
You want power without fuel - we can deliver it!
While Fresnel lenses provide excellent collection and concentration, when power requirements exceed about 2 kilowatts, it is necessary to use other methods. The Hybrid Concentrator uses a combination of Fresnel lenses and mirrors to direct large amounts of energy at a target or collector. These systems are intended for providing process heat for thermal chemistry such as pyrolysis, and for steam generation for heating or power purposes.
Custom made stainless steel reaction vessels are available. Submit your drawings and we can manufacture your pyrolysis cell or steam boiler to fit seamlessly into these units.
NOTE: It is very easy to reach pressures in excess of 1000 PSI with these systems. We will accept no responsibility for your designs. Be absolutely certain that your design can withstand the pressures and temperatures that our solar furnaces can generate. Typical steam applications can operate at 450C and can reach pressures over 75 bars. Only high quality grades of stainless steel or similar materials can be used for these jobs. Otherwise, you will end up with an explosion or a mass of very expensive molten metal.
