Description: small spiral shell

Apparent size: 1.5mm width, 2mm length

Common features:  identical to terrestrial spiral sea shells such as the murex.  Here is a similar shell from Brazil- not identical but close.  Note that this shell spirals counterclockwise, where terrestrial shells usually spiral clockwise.

Summary description of image contents:  a very small spiral sea shell similar to conchs, murex, or whelks.  The lip margin can be seen very clearly and the spiral shape can also be seen very clearly.  Discovered by Terry Lynn Sadler.
