Description: small spiral shell, broken open

Apparent size: 1.5mm width, 2mm length

Common features:  identical to terrestrial spiral sea shells such as the murex.  Here is a similar shell from Brazil- but spirals in the opposite direction.

Summary description of image contents:  a very small spiral sea shell similar to conchs, murex, or whelks.  The shell appears to be worn or broken open and the spiral chambers can be seen in cross section.  Compare to the color image (a terrestrial sea shell).
