Description:  sea biscuit

Apparent size: 3 mm

Common features:  slight cleft at bottom, clear five pointed star pattern centered on the surface, aligned with the cleft

Compare to: terrestrial sea biscuits and sand dollars

Summary description of image contents:  a small sea biscuit with an imprint identical to the pattern of a starfish.  Stereo image confirms that it is consistent and not artifact.  This might also be an urchin, as some terrestrial urchins also have this star pattern on them.  I have designated this organism Area Fabrica Campana, for my friend Art Bell.
